Most Thursdays S.T.P.S. has a work party. Volunteers are always welcome. Call Ken Bieger, 283-5432.

Horses On Trails Ride. Members are encouraged to schedule and lead rides on your favorite trails. Choose a date and a time. BYO horse. Must be a member of STPS/HOT to participate due to insurance. Easy to join day of ride. For info call Barbara Bornstein, 537-6188.

Thurs., Jan. 1-Crooked Pond Loop. 9AM-11AM. Meet at the Long Pond Greenbelt Nature Center, 1061 Bridgehampton Tpk., 100 yards south of Scuttlehole Rd. 3 miles, Happy New Year. Tony Garro, 725-5861.

Sat., Jan. 3-Long Pond Greenbelt. 9AM-11AM. Meet at South Fork Natural History Museum on Bridgehampton Tpk., Bridgehampton. 3+ miles. Dai Dayton, 745-0689.

Sun., Jan. 4 -Elliston Park. 10AM-Noon. Meet at the Park on Millstone Brook Rd., Southampton. 4 miles, some hills, pond views. Howard Reisman, 283-5376.

Thurs., Jan. 8 -S.T.P.S. Monthly Meeting. 7PM-9PM.  Meet at Southampton Town Hall lower level meeting room. All are welcome. Glorian Berk, 283-2638.

Sat., Jan. 10- Bay to Bay. 10AM-1PM. Meet at Munns County Park on Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays. 7+ miles across the South Fork. Bring water & snack. Tony Garro, 725-5861.

Sun., Jan. 11-Poxabogue/Sag Swamp. 10AM-11:30AM. Meet at Poxabogue County Park on Old Farm Rd. Sagaponack. 3 miles through two disparate but unique areas. Sue & Ken Bieger, 283-5432.

Sat., Jan., 17- Hubbard Creek. 10AM-Noon. Meet on Red Creek Rd., Hampton Bays (100 yards east of Rte. 24). 5 mile through hills, forests.  Jim Crawford, 369-2341.

Sat., Jan. 17-Paumanok Path # 1. 9AM-? First of 5 hikes along the Path. Challanging 13+ hilly miles. Bring water and a snack. Sat., Jan. 24-Laurel Valley. 10AM-Noon. Meet at kiosk on Deerfield Rd., Noyac. 4 miles, some hills. Glorian Berk, 283-2638.

Sun., Jan. 25-Sarnoff Preserve. 10AM-1PM.  Meet at parking lot on west side of C.R. 104 between intersection of C.R. 31 to the south & C.R. 105 to the north. 7 miles thru the heart of the Pine Barrens.  Chip Dineen, 646-221-8225.
