Meet on Red Creek Road in Hampton Bays, 100 yards From Rte. 24. Moderately paced hike with numerous water views, a waterfall and several ponds.

Sun., Oct.2-Great Swamp Mystery Tour. 1:00PM-3:00PM.
Meet on Brick Kiln Road across from Bridge Hill Lane. Explore the natural and un-natural history of this unique area. Moderate paced 4-mile hike.

South Fork Trails Weekend, Oct. 8 & 9
Celebrate South Fork Trails Weekend with STPS, Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference and the East Hampton Trails Society
Sat., Oct.8-South Fork Trails Weekend Celebration/Paumanok Path Trek. 10:00AM-1:00PM.
Hike the newest section of the Path along the ridge of the Ronkonkoma Moraine. Meet at the Southhampton Youth Services Center on Majors Path in Southampton. 6 miles. Moderately paced with some hills. Refreshments will be served, please call for reservations.

Sun., Oct.9-South Fork Trails Weekend Celebration/Barcelona Neck. 10Am-Noon.
Moderate 5 mile hike through forests and wetlands. Numerous water views. Meet at Sag Harbor Golf Course off Rte. 114 between Swamp Road and Sag Harbor Village. Joint STPS and East Hampton Trails Society Hike.

Climb a South Fork “mountain” and investigate a rare vernal pool on this challenging 4 mile romp on top of the glacial moraine. Cooperative STPS and EHTPS hike.

Sun. Oct. 9-South Fork Trails Weekend Celebration/Northwest Woods Exploration.10AM
Spend part of your Columbus Day weekend exploring the white pine forest of East Hampton's Northwest Woods; a little bit of old East Hampton lore will spice up this trek past ponds and pines, with a glimpse of days gone by; moderate to brisk 8 miles, with occasional stops; meet at Chatfield's Hole, Two Holes of Water Road, East Hampton (from NY 114, east on Swamp Rd. to Two Holes of Water Rd.); bring lunch and liquids.

Meet at the park entrance on Millstone Brook Road in Southampton. Moderately paced 4-mile hike around the second largest lake on Long Island: than trek through woods and wetlands.
