Sat., July 2- Greenbelt Pond to Pond Trek. 9AM-11:30AM. Hike from pond to pond through this glacially made wonder. Moderate pace 5 miles. Meet at Mashashimuet Park parking lot, Sag Harbor.

Sun., July 3- Dragonflies of the Greenbelt. 10AM-Noon. See dragonflies up close and personal. No sun would mean no dragonflies. Bring water, a snack, and binoculars for possible hike extension. Easy pace. Meet at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor.

Thurs., July 7-STPS  Monthly Meeting. 7PM-9PM. Our next monthly meeting will be held in the lower conference room of Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton. All are welcome!

Sat., July 9-Mulvihill Magical Meander. 10AM-Noon. Meet at Sag Industries’ parking lot on Bridgehampton Tpk. Hike this very special loop featuring woods, swamps, and many glacial erratics. Moderate 4 miles with some hills. Joe Lane, 631-725-3942.

Sun., July 10-Heart of the Northwest Trek. 10AM-1PM. Meet at Edwards Hole Road and Rte 114 in East Hampton. Hike 6 miles over varied terrain through an enchanting pine forest. Fast pace. End on the bluffs of Cedar Point overlooking Gardiners Bay.

Sat., July 16-West Neck Hills Circuit. 9AM-10:30AM. Meet on Millstone Brook Road in Southampton (opposite Millstone Lane) for a 2 plus mile hike through magical woods and swamps. Moderate pace.

Sun., July 17-Long Pond Greenbelt Trek.  9AM-11:15AM. Moderately paced 5-mile hike through  beautiful sections of this glacial remnant. Meet at Mashashimuet Park parking lot in Sag Harbor.

Sat., July 23-Full Moon Passage. 8:00PM-9:30PM. Watch the rising of the “Buck Moon”  over Sag Harbor Bay. Meet on Swamp Road approximately ˝ mile east of Rte 114, Sag Harbor. Moderately paced 3-mile hike. Bring a flashlight and bring the kids.

Sun., July 24. Laurel Valley Traverse. 9AM-10:30AM. Meet at the kiosk on Deerfield Road in Noyac across from Deerwood Path.  Moderate 3-mile hike through wooded knolls and laurel filled ravines. Hilly terrain.

Sat., July 30-Whiskey Hill Double Circuit. 9AM-11:30AM .Meet on Mill Road off Lopers Path East, Bridgehampton. Brisk 2-mile hike with ocean views from the top of the moraine; 2 kettle hole ponds and an enormous glacial erratic.

Sun., July 31- Wolf  Swamp Meander. 10AM-Noon. Meet at the Elliston Park entrance on Millstone Brook Road in Southampton for a moderately paced hike with views of Big Fresh Pond and Scallop Pond.
