* Volunteers Needed!

 

Sat., April 2-Bay to Bay-Tiana to Peconic. 10AM-1PM. Meet at the parking lot of Munns County Park (Wildlife Rehabilitation Center) Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays. Moderately paced hike through Sears Bellows and Hubbard Creek Parks. 7 miles. Leader: Tony Garro 631-725-5861.

 

Sun., April 3-Long Pond Greenbelt South. 9AM-11AM. Meet at the South Fork Natural History Society Museum parking lot on Bridgehampton Turnpike in Bridgehampton. Fast-paced hike through grasslands and oak forests with numerous pond views.

Thurs., April 7 – STPS Monthly Meeting. 7PM-9PM. Our next meeting will be held in the lower conference room of Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road. All are welcome.

 

Sat., April 9-Red Creek Park Excursion. 9:30AM-11:30AM. Meet at the parking lot of Red Creek Park on Old Riverhead Road in Hamptons Bays. Moderately paced hike with views of Penny Pond and Peconic Bay.

*Sat., April 9-Monthly Trail Work Outing.  Every second Saturday we have a members’ work party. Call in advance for time and location.

Sun., April 10-Trout Pond Surprise. 1PM-3PM. Meet at Trout Pond parking lot on Noyac Road in Noyac for a moderately-paced hike to the unknown.

Sat., April 16-Heart of the Northwest. 12:30PM-3:30PM.  Meet on Daniel’s Hole road and Rte 114 in East Hampton (8/10 of a mile south of Swamp Road). Hike through the beautiful Northwest to Cedar Point Park at a moderate pace. Leader:

Sun., April 17-Poxabogue Park Sag Swamp Meander.  10AM-Noon. Meet at the Poxabogue County Park entrance on Old Farm Road in Bridgehampton just south of the RR Trestle. Easy hike with views of grasslands, ponds and swamp.

Sat., April 23-Put a Spring in Your Step.10AM-12:30PM. Hike at a moderate pace from Trout Pond to Bridge Lane. Some hills, 5 plus miles along the crest of the moraine. Meet at Trout Pond Parking lot on Noyac Road in Noyac.

*Sat., April 23-Narrow Lane Cleanup. 8AM-9AM. Help cleanup the litter from our adopted road. Meet on Narrow Lane, and east corner of Bridgehampton Turnpike. Bring gloves.

*Sat., April 23–Annual Great East End Clean Up. 9AM-Noon. Meet at the intersection of Sagg Road and Widow Gavitts Road.

Sun., April 24-Flanders Loop Traverse. 10AM-Noon. Meet on Red Creek Road in Hamptons Bays, 100 yards from Rte 24. Moderately paced hike with numerous water views, a waterfall and several ponds.

Thurs., April 28-“Walk a Circle in Silence”. 1PM-3PM. All about and around the Mulvihill Preserve at a moderate pace. Meet at the Gingerbread Bake Shop on the Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike.

Sat., April 30-Elliston Park Trek. 10AM-Noon. Meet at park entrance on Millstone Brook Road in Southampton. Moderately paced hike with views of Wolf Swamp & Big Fresh Pond.
