Sat.,March 6 – Full Moon Hike to Sag Harbor Bay. 6:30PM-8PM.

Meet on Swamp Road approximately ˝ mile east of Route 114, Sag Harbor. Moderately paced 3-mile hike with a moonlit view of Northwest Harbor. Bring a flashlight.

Sun.,March 7 - Pond to Pond Traverse. 10AM-12:30PM. 

Meet at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor. Moderately paced 5-mile hike through oak pine forest and grasslands with spectacular views of ponds.

Sat.,March 13 - Flanders Loop Trail. 10AM-Noon.

Meet on Red Creek Road in Hampton Bays, 100 yards from Route 24.  Fast-paced hike with numerous water views, a waterfall and several ponds. See Black Duck Lodge. Leader: Ken Bieger, 631-283-5432.

 

Sun.,March 14 - Northwest Path Hike. 10AM-12:30PM.

Meet at intersection of Merchants Path and Wainscott Harbor Road in Bridgehampton. Brisk 5-6 mile hike through oak forest with several hilly loops to toyland and whale rock.

Sat.,March 20 - First Day of Spring Sarnoff Preserve Hike. 10:30AM-3PM.

Meet at the Preserve parking lot on the west side of County Road 104 in Riverhead. From Riverhead circle take C.R. 104 south approximately 2 miles.

>From Sunrise Highway heading east, take Exit 63 (C.R. 31 North) to C.R. 104 North. Hike 7 miles of majestic and somewhat alien preserve.

Bring lunch and water for a picnic at Wildwood Lake. Moderately-paced hilly hike.

Sun.,March 21 - Long Pond Greenbelt South Circuit. 9AM-11AM.

Meet at the South Fork Natural History Society (SOFO) Museum parking lot on

Bridgehampton Turnpike 200 yards north of the RR tracks. Fast paced 5-mile hike through grasslands & oak forest with views of Crooked Pond.

Sat.,March 27 – Kayak Tour of Long Pond. 9AM-10:30AM. 

Meet at the boat ramp on south side of Long Pond off Widow Gavitts Road, Sag Harbor.

Sat.,March 27 - Vineyard Fields Reclamation Project. 9AM-Noon.

Meet at the South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center (SOFO),

377 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike (1/10 mile north of RR tracks). 

Bring water and heavy gloves.

Sun.,March 28 - Dancing with Daffodils at Morton Wildlife Refuge. 10AM-Noon.

Meet at the Refuge entrance on Noyac Road, Sag Harbor across from Noyac Golf Club. Moderately-paced hike to beautiful Jessup’s Neck with views of daffodils, Clam Island and the Great Peconic Bay . The US Fish & Wildlife Service charges a $4.00 parking fee to support this Refuge.

Sun.,March 28 - Narrow Lane Cleanup. 8AM-9AM.

Volunteer to help clean up the litter from our adopted road.  Meet on Narrow Lane, east side of Bridgehampton Turnpike. Bring gloves.
