Our next meeting will be on Thursday, December 2, 2004. Meet at 7 PM in the lower level conference room at Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road. All are welcome!

Sat.,Dec.4 - Sarnoff Preserve Hike. 9:30AM-2PM. Meet at the Preserve parking lot on the west side of County Road 104 in Riverhead. (From Riverhead circle take C.R. 104 south approximately 2 miles. From Sunrise Highway heading east, take Exit 63 (C.R. 31 North) to C.R. 104 North). Hike 7 miles of majestic and somewhat alien preserve. Bring lunch and water for a picnic at Wildwood Lake. Moderately paced hilly hike.

Sun.,Dec.5 - Northwest Path Hike. 10AM-12:30AM. Meet at intersection of Merchants Path and Wainscott Harbor Road in Bridgehampton. Brisk 5-6 mile hike. Several hilly loops through oak forest to toyland and whale rock 10AM-12:30PM.

Sat.,Dec.11 - Hubbard Creek/Sears Bellows Traverse. 8AM-10AM. Meet on Red Creek Road in Hampton Bays, 100 yards from Route 24. Fast-paced hike with water views, a waterfall and several ponds.

Sun.,Dec.12 - Long Pond Greenbelt Perambulation. Meet at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor. Fast-paced hike with spectacular views of Long Pond, Little Long Pond, and Crooked Pond and Vineyard Field.

Sat.,Dec.18 - West Neck Hills Excursion. Meet at Elliston Park on Millstone Brook Road in Southampton. Moderately paced hike. First time on new section of this beautiful trail.

Sun.,Dec.19 - Trout Pond & Clam Island Ramble. 10AM-11:30AM. Meet at Trout Pond parking lot on Noyac Road across from Mill Road for an easy, moderately paced 3-4 mile hike around historic Trout pond and Clam Island County Park, with views of Morton Wildlife Refuge.

Sun.,Dec.19- Narrow Lane Cleanup. 9AM-10AM. Help cleanup the litter from our adopted road. Meet on Narrow Lane, and east corner of Bridgehampton Turnpike. Bring gloves. Call Dai Dayton for more information, 631-537-0660.

Sun.,Dec.26 - Boxing Day Hike in Poxabogue Park & Sagg Swamp Meander. 10AM-11:30AM. Meet at the Park entrance on Old Farm Road in Bridgehampton just south of the RR trestle. Easy hike with views of grasslands, ponds and swamp.
