Sun.,August 1 - Laurel Valley Traverse-10AM-Noon.  Meet at the kiosk
located on Deerfield Road in Noyac across from Deerwood Path (North Side Hills). Moderately paced hike through wooded knolls and laurel-filled ravines. Hilly terrain.

Thurs., August 5 - STPS Monthly Meeting. 7PM-9PM. Our next meeting will be held in the lower conference room of Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton.   Guest Speaker: Southampton Town Councilman Steve Kenny.

Sat., August 7 - Trout Pond Mystery Tour–9AM-11:30AM. Meet at Trout Pond parking lot on Noyac Road across from Mill Road for a moderately paced hike to the unknown.

Sun., August 8 - Whiskey Hill Workout. 8AM-9:00AM. Meet on Mill Road off Lopers Path East, Bridgehampton. Fast-paced 1 ½ mile hike with ocean views from top of moraine and two kettlehole ponds and an enormous glacial erratic along the way. Hilly terrain.

Thurs.,August 12 - Barcelona Neck Excursion.  10AM-Noon. Meet at Sag Harbor Golf Club parking lot on Barcelona Point Road off of Route 114, Sag Harbor. Moderately brisk 4-5 mile hike with views of Sag Harbor Bay, Northwest Creek and Harbor, Cedar Point Park, and Mashomack Preserve. Optional swim.

Sat.,August 14 - Top of the Moraine Hike. 9:30AM-11:30AM. Meet at Sag Harbor Industries on the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, south of Gingerbread Bake Shop. Moderately paced hike to Mulvihill Preserve with views of glacial erratics and kettleholes. Hilly terrain.

Sun.,August 15 - Long Pond Greenbelt Perambulation. 10AM-Noon. Meet at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor. Moderately-paced hike with spectacular views of Long Pond, Little Long Pond, and Crooked Pond. Leader: Bob Wolfram, 631-725- 4237.

 

Sat.,August 21- Narrow Lane Cleanup and Hike into Vineyard Fields. 8AM-9AM. Volunteer to cleanup the litter from our adopted road and visit a beautiful grassland.  Meet on Narrow Lane, and east corner of Bridgehampton Turnpike. Bring gloves.

Sun..,August 22 - Mulvihill Preserve & The Great Swamp Traverse. 10:00AM-12:30 PM. Meet on Brick Kiln Road across from Bridge Hill Lane, 3/10 mile north of Scuttlehole Road, Bridgehampton.  Explore our newest trail.  Unique and varied terrain with ponds and streams. Moderately paced 4-mile hike.

Sat., August 28 - Long Pond Greenbelt Horseback Ride. 10AM-Noon. BYO Horse. Meet on Narrow Lane, south of Haines Path in Bridgehampton. Leisurely ride with views of Long Pond, Little Long Pond, and Crooked Pond. Limit 6.

Sat. August 28 - Full Moon Hike to Sag Harbor Bay. 8:30PM-10:00PM. Meet on Swamp Road approximately ½ mile east of Route 114, Sag Harbor. Moderately paced 3-mile hike. Bring a flashlight.

Sun., August 29 - Elliston Park Trek. 10AM-Noon. Meet at the Park entrance on Millstone Brook Road in Southampton for a moderately paced hike with views of Wolf Swamp and Big Fresh Pond.
