Thurs.,Sept. 4-Kayak Noyac. 10AM-Noon.

 Meet at end of Cedar Lane off Noyac Road (1 block west of Millstone Road). Paddle Noyac Creek/Bay with views of Jessup Neck and Clam Island. BYO Kayak and life jacket.

Sat.,Sept. 6- Fair Hills to Mulvihill Preserve Traverse. 9AM-11:00AM.

 Meet on Brick Kiln Road across from Bridge Lane, 3/10 mile north of Scuttlehole Road,Bridgehampton.  Explore our newest trail through the Great Swamp.  Unique and varied terrain with pond views. Moderately paced 4-5 mile hike.

Sun.,Sept.7- Whiskey Hill Loop. 8AM-9:00AM.

 Early morning aerobic workout. Meet at intersection of Millstone Road and Lopers Path, Bridgehampton. Fast-paced 11/2 mile hike with ocean views from top of moraine with two kettlehole ponds and an enormous glacial erratic along the way.

Thurs., Sept.11-Full Moon Hike to Sag Harbor Bay. 7:30PM-9PM. Meet on Swamp Road approximately ½ mile east of Route 114, Sag Harbor. Bring a flashlight.

Sat., Sept. 13-Sag Harbor Maritime Hike. 10:30AM-12:30PM.

 Meet at the windmill on Long Wharf in Sag Harbor. Take a walk through Sag Harbor’s Maritime Past.  Learn about colorful captains and Sag Harbor’s surprising Japanese connection.

Sat., Sept. 13-Vineyard Fields Reclamation Project. 9AM. 

 Meet at the South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center (SOFO), 377 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike (1/10 mile north of RR tracks).  Bring loppers and heavy gloves.


Sun.,Sept. 14- Long Pond Greenbelt Trek. 9AM-11:30AM. Meet at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor. Moderately-paced 3-4 mile hike with spectacular views of Ligonee Creek, Long Pond, Little Long Pond, and Crooked Pond.

Sun.,Sept. 14-Join us for Krunch (Kayak and Brunch). 10AM.

Kayak beautiful North Sea Harbor and join your leaders for bagels and coffee at their home. BYO kayak and life jacket. Leaders: Ken and Sue Bieger, 631-284-5432. Call for reservations.


Thurs.,Sept. 18 - Barcelona Neck Excursion.  10AM-12:30PM.

 Meet at Sag Harbor

Golf Club parking lot on Barcelona Point Road off of Route 114, Sag Harbor. Moderately brisk 4-5 mile hike with views of Sag Harbor Bay, Northwest Creek and Harbor, Cedar Point Park, and Mashomack Preserve.

Sat.,Sept. 20-Celebration of the Long Pond Greenbelt.  10:30AM.

  Meet at the South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center (SOFO), 377 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike (1/10 mile north of RR tracks). STPS joins Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt to enjoy and celebrate the beautiful Greenbelt. Free hikes, educational displays, and for kids, a nature treasure hunt and puppet show.  For general info call Dai Dayton, 631-537-0660.

STPS hike leader, Tony Garro, 631-725-5861, will lead a moderately paced ‘History of the Greenbelt’ hike at 11AM.


Sun.,Sept.21 - Red Creek Park Perambulation. 10AM-Noon.

 Meet at the parking lot on Old Riverhead Road, Hampton Bays.  Moderate-paced hike with views of Penny Pond. Leader: Claude Debeaumon, 631-728-8667.

Sat.,Sept.27 - Hubbard Creek/Sears Bellows Traverse. 9:30AM-11:30AM. Meet on Red Creek Road in Hampton Bays, 100 yards from Route 24.  Fast-paced hike with numerous water views, a waterfall and several ponds. See Black Duck Lodge.

Sat.,Sept. 27-Narrow Lane Cleanup. 8AM-9AM.

 Help clean up the litter from our adopted road.  Meet on Narrow Lane, east side of Bridgehampton Turnpike. Bring gloves.

Sun.,Sept.28- Elliston Park Ramble. 10AM-Noon.

 Meet at the park entrance on Millstone Brook Road in Southampton for a moderately-paced hike with views of Wolf Swamp and Big Fresh Pond.

Sun.,Sept.28-Long Pond Greenbelt Horseback Ride. 9AM-11AM.
