Saturday, May 5- Paumanok Path Hike. 10AM-Noon. Call for meeting place and reservations. Enjoy a hilly, 3-4 mile hike through the Bridgehampton Hills to a huge sand mine. Leader: Pingree Louchheim, 631-537-3858.


Sunday, May 6-Long Pond Greenbelt Hike. 2PM-4PM. Meet at parking lot in Mashashimuet Park on corner of Jermain Ave. and Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike in Sag Harbor for a moderately brisk flat 4-mile walk with views of Crooked Pond, Long Pond and Little Long Pond. Saturday, May 12 - Sears Bellows Park Ramble. 10AM-Noon. Meet at park entrance on Bellows Pond Road off of Route 24, Hampton Bays. Enjoy views of Sears Pond and Bellows Pond. Leader: Vincent Scerbinski, 631- 287-2713.


Sunday, May 13 - Red Creek Park Mothers Day Hike. 10:00AM-1:30PM. Meet at park entrance on Jackson Ave., Hampton Bays for a beautiful easy 5-6 mile hike to Great Peconic Bay. Saturday, May 19-Cranberry Bog Preserve Walk. 9AM-10:30. Meet on Route 63 (Riverhead Moriches Road) across from Lakeview Drive in Riverhead. Easy 3-mile interpretive hike. See carnivorous plants. Leader: Ken Bieger, 631-283-5432.


Sunday, May 20 - Laurel Valley County Park Traverse. 2PM-4PM. Meet at the kiosk on Deerfield across from the Deerwood Path entrance to North Side Hills. Hike through laurel filled ravines. Great views of the Peconic Bay. Hilly terrain. Leader: Dai Dayton, 631-537-0660.


Saturday, May 26-Wolf Swamp Hike. 10AM-Noon. Meet at entrance of Elliston Park on Millstone Brook Road, Southampton for a relaxed 3-5 mile hike with views of Big Fresh Pond and Scallop Pond. Leader: Howard Reisman, 631-283-5376.


Sunday, May 27- Mashomack Preserve. 9AM-3PM (4 hour hike, lunch, and optional swim). Meet at the North Haven/Shelter Island Ferry. Moderately brisk 12-mile hike through meadows, woods, and beaches. Spectacular views of north and south forks. Bring lunch and plenty of water, $5.00/person for Ferry and Preserve Donation. Leader: Dianne Rulnick, 631-726-5903.
