Saturday, August 4 - DEC Sarnoff Pine Barrens Preserve. 10AM-1:30PM. Meet at the Preserve entrance on Route 104 in Riverhead. Take Route 104 two miles south of the Riverhead traffic circle. DEC parking lot is on the right (west) side of road. North of Route 105. Moderate 6-7 mile hike through hilly terrain. Inspiring panoramic views. Walk on spongy leaf layer that protects root systems and your knees and ankles.

Sunday, August 5 - Historic Tour of Sag Harbor. 10AM-12:30PM. Meet at the parking lot in Mashashimuet Park on corner of Jermain Ave. and Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike. Enjoy a 3-mile hike through historic Sag Harbor with stops at houses with interesting pasts from the American Revolution to present.

Saturday, August 11-Paumanok Path Traverse. 10:30AM-1:30PM. Meet at Sagg Industries parking lot on Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike south of Mashashimuet Park, between Clay Pitts Road and Carroll Street. Bring lunch and liquid. Fast 6-mile hike on a new section of the Paumanok Path through the beautiful Long Pond Greenbelt into East Hampton. Optional second hike or swim.

Sunday, August 12- Laurel Valley County Park. 2PM-4PM. Meet at the kiosk on Deerfield Road, in Noyac across from Deerwood Path (North Side Hills). Brisk hike through 3-4 miles of wooded knolls & laurel-filled ravines. Panoramic views of Peconic Bay.

Saturday, August 18-Mushroom Walk for Hikers. 10AM-Noon. Meet at the Long Pond Boat Ramp on Widow Gavitts Road just south of the LIPA line in Sag Harbor. Explore the Kingdom of Mushrooms while hiking the beautiful Long Pond Greenbelt. Participants are welcome to bring their own mushrooms for identification.

Sunday, August 19 - Sears Bellows Traverse. 10AM-Noon. Meet at park entrance on Bellows Pond Road off Route 24, Hampton Bays. Easy 3-4 mile hike. Enjoy views of Sears Pond and Bellows Pond.

Saturday, August 25 – Long Pond Greenbelt. 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM.  Meet at Sagg Industries parking lot on Bridgehampton – Sag Harbor Turnpike south of Mashashimuet Park, between Clay Pitts Road and Carroll Street.  Brisk hike along Long Pond, Little Long Pond, and Crooked Pond.

Sunday, August 26- Big Woods Hike. 10AM-Noon. Meet at the entrance of Elliston Park on Millstone Brook Road, Southampton for an easy 3-5 mile hike with views of Wolf Swamp, Scallop Pond, and Big Fresh Pond.
