Back by popular demand .... the East Hampton Trail Maps!

Sunday, April 1 – Paumanok Path April Fools Hike (remember daylight savings time begins). 10AM-Noon.  Meet at Sagg Industries parking lot on Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, south of Mashashimuet Park, between Clay Pitts Road and Carroll Street for a hilly, 3-4 mile hike to a huge sand mine.

Saturday, April 14 – Hampton Hills Ramble. 10AM-2PM. Meet at parking lot closest to the Suffolk Community College entrance; Parking Field 1. From Sunrise Highway exit 61, travel east on C.R. 51 (Moriches-Riverhead Road) to Speonk-Riverhead Road. Turn into the Suffolk Community College eastern campus, and then make first left and then the first right into Parking Field 1. Head Northeast across parking lot to the kiosk. Or from the Riverhead traffic circle take CR63 to CR51 south. Hike 6-7 fairly challenging miles on one of the most beautiful sections of the Paumanok Path with inspiring panoramic views. Bring food and water.  We will stop at Wildwood Lake for a snack.  Terrain is hilly and the pace will be moderate.

Sunday, April 15 – Annual Easter Egg Hunt. 10AM-Noon. Location to be announced.

Sunday, April 22 – Laurel Valley County Park. 2PM-4PM. Meet at the kiosk on Deerfield Road across from Deer Run Road for a hilly 3-4 mile hike with beautiful views of Robins Island and Peconic Bay.  Leader: Dai Dayton, 631-537-0660.


Saturday, April 28 – Scallop Pond Traverse. 10AM-Noon. Meet at entrance of Elliston Park on Millstone Brook Road, Southampton for a relaxed 3-5 mile hike with views of Wolf Swamp and Big Fresh Pond. Leader: Howard Reisman, 283-5376.
