side of road immediately west of Red Creek Rd.
Distance: 8 miles
Pace: Fast
Terrain: Flat

Hikers will get a chance to see what the trail is like between Hubbard Creek and
the Shinnecock Canal.

between the junctions of CR 105 to the north and CR 31 to the south
Distance: 7 miles
Pace: Moderate
Terrain: Hilly

This is one of my favorite portions of the Paumanok Path.
It is characterized by well-executed switchbacks with inspiring panoramic
views. You walk on a spongy debris
layer that protects the root systems underneath and knees and ankles above.
We will stop at Wildwood Lake for a snack.
