Meeting location: Intersection of Millstone Brook Road and Big Fresh Pond Road.

Pace: Moderate

Terrain: Flat

01/09/00 Meeting time: Sunday 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.
Hike Leader: Ken Kindler

Meeting location: N.Y.S. Parking Area on Rte. 24 - north side of road immediately west of Red Creek Rd.
Distance: 8 miles
Pace: Fast
Terrain: Flat
All hikers call me: 331-3385.
Bring food, liquid and warm clothing
Hikers will get a chance to see what the trail is like between Hubbard Creek and the Shinnecock Canal.

Meeting location: Tuckahoe School at the intersection of Magee St. and Sebonac Road, Southampton
Plan on a short easy hike and a longer fast paced hike.  Details will depend on the interests of the hikers.
Terrain: Flat

Meeting location: CR 104 DEC parking lot; located midway between the junctions of CR 105 to the north and CR 31 to the south
Distance: 7 miles
Pace: Moderate
Terrain: Hilly
Have all hikers call me.
Bring food, liquid and warm clothing.
This is one of my favorite portions of the Paumanok Path.  It is characterized by well-executed switchbacks with inspiring panoramic views.  You walk on a spongy debris layer that protects the root systems underneath and knees and ankles above.
We will stop at Wildwood Lake for a snack.
